REVELATION 20:10
It is said that the book of Revelation is a wonderful way to finish the story which began in Genesis. All that began in the book of beginnings is consummated in Revelation. For instance, we are told that in Genesis, the heaven and earth were created. In Revelation, we see a new heaven and a new earth. In Genesis, the sun and moon appear; in Revelation, we read that there is no need of the sun or moon, for Christ is the light of the new heaven (Revelation 21:23). In the book of Genesis, there is a garden; in Revelation, there is a holy city. In Genesi,s the reader also interestingly reads about the marriage of the first Adam; in Revelation, we are blessed to read about the marriage supper of the second Adam, Jesus Christ.
It by no means ends in defeat for the saints, butin complete triumph for the Son of God and the followers of the Lamb. The book of Revelation stridently announces the defeat of all the Kingdom of darkness and the glorious enthronement of the Lamb over all the Kingdoms of this world and darkness. The Lamb of God, Savior of humanity, prevails! (Revelation 20:22). What a glorious way to end that which begins in Genesis
Therefore, a definite part of our message is Satan’s defeated. Jesus has already spoiled principalities and powers and triumphed over them. The early church knew and proclaimed this. The apostle Paul declared “And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross (Colossians 2:15). This is certainly confirmed for us in the final message of Jesus, the Christ, to the church, here in the Revelation, as we are given a glimpse into the things shall shortly come to pass (Revelation 1:1)..
The devil’s empire, his Kingdom, is coming down. It shall soon be perpetually brought down and destroyed (Revelation 20:10). The Word plainly states “And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever” (Revelation 20:10). Our adversary is doomed and he knows it, therefore he works overtime as outlined in Revelation 12:12.
There can only be one God, one Lord, one Savior, and one Judge. His name is Jesus, the unconquerable One! We need to remind the devil and ourselves, that his days are numbered. Some of us know the real story. He has already been defeated, and Jesus is indeed Lord! It does not end in defeat for the people of God!
