ON OUR KNEES WE WIN!

PHILLIPIANS 4:6

I have never seen a time of more stress, heartache, pain, and difficulty like now. Every time you look around, there is another upheaval, another crisis, another explosion. It almost seems as if the world is on fire. I just have to admit that the enemy is really good at his job. He is a master thief, an expert murderer, and a professional destroyer. He works tirelessly to undo and undermine anything sacred and holy. His plan is not just to defeat but to destroy. Saints, I cannot say it enough: Satan and the forces of darkness have gone wild! He has gone ballistic and has taken spiritual warfare to the next level. Peter describes him as “. . . walking about, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8). My simple admonition to the saints today is, now is certainly no time to leave the place of prayer.

For sure, the only way to conquer him is by steadfastly remaining on our knees and perpetually in the attitude and position of prayer. It cannot be emphasized enough that everything we do or attempt to do today must be saturated and seasoned with prayer. Now is no time to stop praying! In fact, the prayer efforts must be intensified! Especially, in times like these, we give God thanks for our Regional Prayer line and our seasoned prayer warriors, who for all intents and purposes, adamantly refuse to leave the place of prayer. From all around this Northeast Region, USA & Bermuda, we are committed to praying and to seasoning every event and venture with the effectual, fervent prayers of the righteous. It remains our conviction that Jehovah-Jesus is the prayer-answering God. He said, “And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me” (Psalm 50:15).

Probably this is the most suitable way to describe the times in which we now live – the day of trouble! It could even be that this is somewhat of an understatement. In just this past week alone, many of us have had real family crises and problems. We have had loved ones who were critically ill and had to be hospitalized. We have experienced the death and dying of loved ones. We have received the troubling news of brethren whom we know so well diagnosed with cancer, now battling for their lives. Politically, things are unstable. Socially, things are volatile, and economically, things are skyrocketing and most unpredictable. It’s really just like Jesus said, “… And upon the earth distress of nations with perplexity; the sea and waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them for fear and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth …” (Luke 21:25,26).

The perilous times prophesied in the Word are here, irrepressibly and irreversibly, all around us. The more violent the enemy becomes is the more militant the church must become. Remembering always that this is spiritual warfare, the more we stand in vigil in prayer. We militantly move forward on our knees! Like the first apostolic bishops and the church throughout the ages we forcibly push back against the enemy, declaring with renewed strength and force “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds” (2 Corinthians 10:4). We follow the battle plan, “. . . in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving . . .” (Philippians 4:6). We face every attack, onslaught, invasion on our knees. On Our Knees We Win!
