Christmas Message

December 2019
Sometimes, especially today in the twenty-first century we tend to forget what Christmas and the Christmas message is all about. It is preeminently about God the supreme Creator, the divine Maker of all, breaking into the tragedy and banefulness of our human existence and reintroducing light and hope to Adam’s fallen race.
Not only has He broken in, but it is also about the fact that He keeps on breaking in. Scriptures assert the truth that the God who has delivered, will deliver (1 Samuel 17:37).
The Christmas message, we vehemently proclaim is about majesty born in a manger (Luke 2:7). It’s about God the Son, becoming flesh so that we might become born again and recreated into God’s likeness and image – (John 1:14).
How exhilarating the thought! He keeps breaking in and that salvation has come to us – (Luke 2:16). When all is sad, hopeless and dark, He keeps breaking in and saying “Fear not … I bring you good tidings of great joy … For unto you is born this day in the City of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:10, 11).
Lady Chris and I remain especially grateful for every blessing received this year, as we traversed this vast Region. We were not occasionally blessed. We were daily blessed, loaded with benefits, even when we felt pressed beyond measure and stretched to the limits. We saw, felt and experienced Emmanuel’s protective care and everlasting kindness every day of 2019. All we can say again is “”O the depth, of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgements and His ways past finding out! “ (Romans 11:33). How blessed we are to call you family and serve among you.
May your time with family and friends, this Christmas, be without stress, most relaxing and enjoyable. May you find time to worship the Incarnate Deity and be continually transformed into His image!
Merry Christmas to one and all!
Bishop Leroy & Lady Christina Greenaway
